Yes, I think this will definitely be a thing. SO…this Thursday a friend and I went to London’s Chinatown for lunch. The Chinese New Year celebration is Sunday so there were a lot of decorations already up. Lots and lots of paper lanterns.
Also, Chinese food at a genuine Chinese restaurant is NOT the kind of food they serve at Wild Wok (or insert your favorite Americanized Chinese restaurant here). So that was an experience. The noodles were yummy but I got some very strange dumplings, and I’m not entirely sure whether I’ll be experiencing that again.
After lunch and wandering around Chinatown, we headed to Hyde Park. Walked all the way through the park and into Kensington Gardens…I’m still a little unsure why different tracts of this giant piece of greenery have different names, but c’est la vie.
Took a lot of pictures or trees, birds, squirrels, and the like (and Peter Pan, of course), then stopped for cookies and cocoa before returning to the flats. All in all, quite a fun day!
As if you needed any extra reasons why Peter Pan is awesome, I will leave you with this lovely quote:
“Wendy,” Peter Pan continued in a voice that no woman has ever yet been able to resist, “Wendy, one girl is more use than twenty boys.”
